P13.75 Million Infra Projects In Lanao Norte Completed

Lanao del Norte News – Some Php13.75 million worth of infrastructure have been completed, here, as of December, last year.
Mayor Rommel C. Arnado said these projects which were implemented under the new framework of the Sustainable Integrated Kauwsagan Area Development and Peace Agenda (SIKAD PA) include the following:
Rehabilitation of the Baraason-Poona Piagapo Road with a cost of Php4.20 million funded by the UN-GEM and construction of box culvert with development approach road at Upper Bagumbayan with a cost of Php3.24 million.
Beautification of the Municipal Plaza with a cost of Php2.0 million, rehabilitation of the Municipal Gymnasium at Php3.0 million and rehabilitation of the Municipal Hall, Php1.0 million.
Completion of Municipal Tennis Court at Php300,000 and completion of the drainage systems in Barangay Poblacion at Php100,000.
Meanwhile, Arnado said the LGU will continue to endeavor towards the development of its social services for the support of all the health services program of the government.
These health programs include the implementation of an immunization system, provision of medicines, and the rehabilitation of the Tuberculosis (TB) Directly Observed Treatment System (DOTS) and the lying-in rooms at the Municipal Health Center.
Construction of the Barangay Health Center in Barangays Tugar, Libertad and Bagumbayan as part of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Provision of Level II Water System in Tugar and Bagumbayan, as part of the Assisi Development Foundation Program, provision of livelihood for the indigents, the women, persons with disabilities (PWD), senior citizens and the continued barangay medical clinic with the Philippine Army (PA), the non-governmental/public organizations.

LANAO NEWS ONLINE: PBA Game 2 Finals Held In Lanao Norte
LANAO NEWS ONLINE – The provincial government of Lanao del Norte recently played host to one of the most exciting games of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
The final game held last August 10, this year, was played between rivals Tropang Texters and Petron Boosters at the spacious Mindanao Civic Center gymnasium located in Sagadan, Tubod.
Tropang Texters came out victorious after a thrilling and intensified match via a final score of 103-85 in favor of the texters.
“One thing that we wanted to do here in Game Two was to come out with a lot of physicality because they’re really beating us in giving us really rough fouls and hard fouls. It was seen here today,” said Talk ‘n Text coach Chot Reyes.
Over five thousand basketball fans trooped to the brand new gym and watched the exciting Game 2 of the best of seven series.
“We are proud and happy that PBA chose Lanao del Norte to be the host of the first-ever Finals game here in Mindanao”, Governor Khalid Dimaporo expressed.
